Fiberglass pultruded bar gratings are based upon I-beams, T-bar etc. in load-bearing direction, which are connected by fiberglass rods and distance tubes. They are glued together torsion-free.

FRP pultruded bar grating stands as a durable, versatile, and resilient solution designed to offer robust structural support in various industrial, commercial, and architectural applications. Crafted from high-quality Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP), these gratings offer exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and longevity.

Material and Construction

Fabricated through a pultrusion process, these bar gratings are composed of reinforced fiberglass bars. This construction ensures remarkable strength-to-weight ratios and resilience against corrosion, chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions.

Design: Standard pultruded FRP gratings are made from isophthalic polyester resin. The reinforcement is achieved by a combination of fibreglass mats and rovings reaching a glass content of approximately 65%. Standard colours are grey or yellow, other colours according to RAL are available.

Surface : Frp pultruded gratings have grooved anti-skid surface. If required, gritted surfaces are available, which fulfil the German anti-skid standard R13. If requested the surface can be gritted, plain, covered, or diamond surface.

Pultruded grating is light-weight, strong, anti-fire chemical and UV resistant and reduces costly maintenance. Pultruded bar grating is well suited for highly corrosive environments and offers extended life, eliminating periodic maintenance and extra cost, which is a good alternative compared to steel gratings.

Applications

FRP pultruded bar gratings find applications in:

Industrial Settings: Used in chemical plants, refineries, and manufacturing facilities for flooring, platforms, and walkways due to their durability and corrosion resistance.

Commercial and Architectural Use: Ideal for architectural elements, catwalks, and outdoor walkways in commercial buildings and public spaces.

Options

FRP pultruded bar grating are panels with open space, assembled through a specially designed process with “I”, “T” and “HL” shape bearing bars and interlocked with solid rods or tubes, which are all pultruded.

FRP bar grating comes in many shapes and sizes for a wide variety of applications. The standard shapes include I-Bar and T-Bar. Bar FRP gratings are also called pultruded FRP gratings, they are made through the process of pultrusion - where glass strands are pulled through a machine, wrapped in a glass fabric, then sealed together with resin.

Fiberglass pultruded gratings are also available with Isophthalic polyester, vinylester or phenolic resin. All kinds of resin can be added with the fire retardant and UV against materials.
